Shown here is the front cover of the book on harmony written by Paule Maurice and her husband, and fellow composer, Pierre Lantier, in 1950 based on the 1862 treatise of harmony by Napoléon Henri Reber. It was intended to be studied in conjuction with Reber's 1862 Traite d'Harmonie. His treatise was written while still immersed in the Romantic era. After Debusssy, Ravel and Stravinsky, what was standard practice began to change rapidly and Maurice and Lantier addressed these issues in their book. It is still being sold and can be found at:
